07 Nov Feeling a bit rusty? Take a refresher in Joe’s pool
Has it been a while since you last dived? Are you not quite sure how it all works anymore? Why not sign up for our scuba refresher course in the pool. In a few hours, you will feel much more confident and are well prepared for diving into the ocean again.
If you haven’t dived for some time, you might start to forget the most important dive rules and how dive equipment works. While we are always more than happy to help you and give you pointers on the dive site, it might mean that on your first dive you will be busy with getting into diving again, rather than just enjoying the dives. Which is such a shame. Why not invest a few hours in a refresher in the pool at Joe’s Gone Diving so you can enjoy your dives in the ocean to the fullest?
Our dive refresher (also called scuba review) always starts off with a quick review to test your knowledge. We will go over the answers with you and explain the topics to make sure it is all clear again. Your PADI Instructor will check in with you which skills you found most challenging during your open water dive course, so he/she knows what skills need extra attention.
We will be going over all the dive equipment with you again and refresh how to set up your dive equipment. Once in the pool, your PADI Dive Instructor will repeat almost all skills from your PADI Open Water course with you.
The scuba refresher will usually take a few hours and can be done in the pool at Joe’s Gone Diving most afternoons after 3.30pm, sometimes earlier. Our groups are always small, a maximum of 4 people per instructor, but often you will even have an instructor to yourself.
Our guests always feel much more confident once they have done the refresher and well prepared for their dives in the ocean. You don’t need to have a dive certification from PADI, you can also join the refresher if you have a dive certification from another dive training organisation.
