Adaptive Techniques Speciality Course
The 2-day PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course on Bali is meant for PADI professionals. In this exciting course you gain more knowledge and awareness of varying diver abilities which you can apply when training and diving with physically and mentally disabled divers.
PADI’s approach to diver education has always been inclusive: everyone who meets course prerequisites is welcome to enroll. The PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course builds on this by enhancing and preparing you for student-centered and prescriptive approaches when adapting techniques to meet individual diver’s needs.
Duration: 2 days, 2 dives
Who can join: PADI Divemasters or PADI Master Freedivers. Trained and current certification for first aid and CPR within the previous two years. If your EFR is not current anymore then you can combine your PADI Adaptive Technique course with an EFR refresher.
Adaptive Techniques Specialty Course Description
The PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course on Bali consists of knowledge development, two confined water skill development workshops and two open water workshops. The course is designed for PADI professionals and will help them to:
- Become more aware and mindful of individual considerations when introducing people with disabilities to diving.
- Develop adaptive techniques that can be applied while training and supervising divers with disabilities in PADI courses and programs.
- Properly counsel and direct student divers, based on their abilities, toward PADI certification, PADI experience programs or a disabilities-dedicated diving organization for limited certification programs.
- Learn additional techniques to motivate and encourage student divers with mental and/or physical challenges.
After finishing the PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course on Bali, you will receive the PADI Speciality certificate.
