Adaptive Support Diver Course

Then the PADI Adaptive Support Diver Course on Bali is for you. This interesting course at Joe’s Gone Diving is designed to give you insight into what is required to adequately support a disabled diver.
Duration: 2 days, 2 dives
Who can join: Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Certification. Minimum age: 15 years old. Trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years or combine your PADI Adaptive Support Diver course with the EFR Course.
PADI Adaptive Support Diver Course Description
In the PADI Adaptive Support Diver course on Bali, you will develop adaptive techniques to assist any diver with mental or physical challenges, to allow the diver to achieve a safe and fun environment to dive in. The course consists of a knowledge development session and accessibility workshop. You will follow a confined water workshop and an open water workshop. Key points are:
- How to assist effectively and dive safely with a disabled buddy.
- Become more aware and mindful of individual considerations and challenges when diving with a physically or mentally disabled buddy.
- Develop and learn adaptive thinking and techniques to find new unique solutions and methods to achieve a goal.
- Learn to focus on what the diver can do and not the disability.
After finishing the PADI Adaptive Support Diver course on Bali, you will receive the PADI Adaptive Support Diver certificate, one of the PADI Specialties that will count towards your Master Scuba Diver Rating and can also count as an adventure dive for your PADI Advanced Open Water course.
