Take your dive skills to the next level with the PADI Rescue Diver Course in Bali. You’d think that it’s not easy to talk about accident prevention and management, and still have fun. But it can be. The Rescue Diver course at Joe’s Gone Diving in Bali is serious fun. It is an important and crucial step in expanding your knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level.
In this course, we will teach you how to look after the safety and well-being of yourself and other divers. You will learn to help prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques. The rescue diver course is good fun and builds your confidence.

Duration: 2-3 days
Who can join: Minimum certification level: PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Diver. Trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years or combine your Rescue course with the EFR Course. Minimum age: 12 years
PADI Rescue Diver Course Description
Pre-Course Preparation for the PADI Rescue Diver course in Bali:
Finish all your theory at home via eLearning. Once on Bali, you will only need to do a quick review to test your knowledge. You can also opt for picking up a manual on Bali 1 or 2 days before the start to do some self-study and prepare. The theory part of this course is quite extensive so be sure to take some time to prepare and bring the filled out knowledge reviews on the first day. If you have finished eLearning, please bring your printed eRecord to the course.
Day 1:
If you haven’t done eLearning, watch the DVD in the morning and go over the knowledge reviews. Write the final exam if you have time enough. In the afternoon we will go to the pool to practice 10 rescue exercises and self-rescue skills. You will learn to recognize stress, how to respond to a panicked diver, how to deal with underwater problems, missing diver procedures and how to surface an unconscious diver.
Day 2:
The second day takes place in the ocean. You will repeat the 10 learned rescue skills in the ocean and apply the skills in two different dive accident scenarios. These scenarios can take place at any time, during a dive, on a surface interval or on your way to the restaurant, so be prepared… At some point during your course you will prepare an emergency rescue plan for a dive site.
After successfully completing the Rescue and EFR course, you’ll receive the internationally recognised PADI Rescue Diver certification card.
The Rescue Diver course is usually combined with the EFR course.
