For almost all courses Joe’s Gone Diving offers the opportunity to prepare theory from home via PADI eLearning. This means you can, in most cases, do all your theory online before your arrival on Bali and don’t need to spend any time in the classroom on Bali. Instead you can dive straight into the practical part of your course. Your course will be much more relaxed and you have more time to do some fun diving or explore Bali. It works out a bit more expensive than studying the traditional way with the manual, but it will save you studying time on Bali.
For all courses with the exception of the Divemaster Course and PADI IDC you will cover all theory including any necessary exams during eLearning. All you will need to do is a quick review to check your knowledge when you arrive on Bali.
When you sign up for eLearning you will need to affiliate with a dive center. Please make sure you affiliate with Joe’s Gone Diving as it will mean you will be entitled to a discount on our course price. If you don’t affiliate with Joe’s Gone Diving the discount unfortunately doesn’t apply.
PADI offers two different digital study options for the PADI Open Water course, the online eLearning course and the offline Touch course. The online eLearning course is the right choice for you if you are planning to study on a desktop or laptop and online. The Touch version is for use on iPad or Android tablets and can also be used offline.
Once you finished your eLearning, please print out your eRecord and bring it with you on the first day of your course. If you don’t have time to print, no problem. You can print it here at the dive center as long as you know your log-in details.
